Notes
'Governor Eben Draper' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Governor Eben Draper') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are large, round, and full, with deep pink petals shaded crimson. A belt of yellow petaloids gives each bloom a unique look. George Hollis bred it in 1909.
Pairs well with Columbine, Butterfly milkweed, and Royal fern.
