Notes

'Grane' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Grane') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The white double flowers have prominent stamens, and red streaks mark the outer guard petals. Each stem carries four blooms in late spring. Michael Miely bred it in 2012.

Pairs well with Swamp milkweed, Royal fern, and Kentucky bluegrass.
