Notes

'Princeps' tulip (Tulipa greigii 'Princeps') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It blooms in early to late spring. The erect stems reach about 10 inches tall, so it suits the front of a bed or a small pot. It also works as a cut flower.

Pairs well with Gladiator ornamental onion, Hummelo betony, and Poppy mallow.
