Notes

'Gruss an Aachen' rose (Rosa 'Gruss an Aachen') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist soil of most types. The fragrant blooms open salmon pink and fade to creamy white. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers. Philipp Geduldig introduced it in 1909.

Pairs well with Duchesse de Nemours peony, Nelly Moser clematis, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
