Notes

'Gruss an Teplitz' rose (Rosa 'Gruss an Teplitz') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It grows into a bushy shrub with dark green leaves and fragrant, medium red blooms. Flowers come in late spring, again in early to late summer, and again in early autumn. Bees visit the blooms, and Rudolf Geschwind bred it in 1894.

Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Obedient plant.
