Gusto tulip

Garden uses

Notes

'Gusto' tulip (Tulipa 'Gusto') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Its dark purple-red flowers open from early to late spring on stems about 16 inches tall. The deep color makes a bold accent in a border or a vase. Vertuco B.V. bred it.

Pairs well with Bridal Crown daffodil, Singing In The Rain peony, and Ernest Markham clematis.
