Notes

'Balhiblu' rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos 'Balhiblu') is a perennial for borders, rain gardens, pollinator gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy or loamy soil. The white blooms have a pink rim and a deep red eye, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit them. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows fast to about 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Joe Pye weed, Switchgrass, and Great blue lobelia.
