Notes

Hardy kiwi (Actinidia arguta) is a vine for food gardens, privacy screens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It climbs fast and can reach 25 to 30 feet tall, so give it a strong support. The greenish white flowers are fragrant and attract bees.

Pairs well with Polish Spirit clematis, Spicebush, and Nodding onion.

Native range

Temperate eastern Asia.
