Notes

'Helix' hybrid willow (Salix purpurea 'Helix') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows at a rapid rate and forms a broad shape, so give it room. Bees and butterflies visit it.

Pairs well with Dense blazing star, Coneflower, and Switchgrass.
