Notes

Hellebore (Helleborus odorus) is a perennial for woodland gardens, shade borders, and fragrant early color. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part to full shade and average moisture. The evergreen leaves stay handsome through the year. Fragrant green to yellow-green flowers open from mid winter to early spring. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Sweet box, Korean rock fern, Hardy cyclamen, and Twinleaf.
