Notes

'Herald Star' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Herald Star') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are ivory white, large to extra large, and show their stamens. Dr. John H. Neeley bred it, and you can cut the blooms for bouquets.

Pairs well with Delphinium, Bobo hydrangea, and Royal fern.
