Notes

'Herbstsonne' cutleaf coneflower (Rudbeckia laciniata 'Herbstsonne') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It forms a fast-growing clump that reaches 47 to 83 inches tall. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Blue mistflower, and Big bluestem.
