Notes

'Heroïca' rose (Rosa 'Heroïca') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Dark red, fragrant blooms open in late spring, again in early to late summer, and once more in early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Louis Lens bred it in 1960.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Ornamental onion, and Stained Glass hosta.
