Notes

'Hot Red' coneflower (Echinacea 'Hot Red') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms from early to late summer, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit the fragrant flowers. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Clustered bellflower, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Nodding onion.
