Notes

'Insel Mainau' rose (Rosa 'Insel Mainau') is a compact shrub for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It bears fragrant, dark red blooms in late spring, summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Reimer Kordes bred it in 1959.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Fountain grass, and Star Gazer lily.
