Notes
'Intenz Dark Purple' cockscomb (Celosia argentea 'Intenz Dark Purple') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and accents. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It grows fast and stands erect, and it tolerates drought. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms from summer into autumn.
Pairs well with Mammoth Grey Stripe sunflower, Profusion zinnia, and Pink Pearl dahlia.
