'Iseli fastigiate' Colorado spruce (Picea pungens 'Iseli fastigiate') is a tree for specimen planting, accent, privacy screen, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy or clay soil. This evergreen is drought tolerant once settled in. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows slowly and keeps its columnar shape.
