Notes

'Golden Globe' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Golden Globe') is a shrub for borders, containers, foundation plantings, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant evergreen that reaches 24 to 48 inches tall and wide. Birds visit it, and it stays green through winter.

Pairs well with Globosa Colorado spruce, Rock soapwort, and Red fescue.
