Notes

'Jacob Styer' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Jacob Styer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears full double white flowers in late spring. The stems are strong and tall, so the blooms hold up well in a vase. John Franklin Styer bred it in 1948.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Sensitive fern, and Black Parrot tulip.
