Notes

'Jan Spek' rose (Rosa 'Jan Spek') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It grows 30 to 35 inches tall with an upright, bushy habit and thorny stems. Deep yellow flowers open in late spring, again in summer, and into early autumn, and bees visit them. Darragh bred it in 1966.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Fountain grass, and Star Gazer lily.
