Notes

'Blue Mouse Ears' hosta (Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It forms a small mound of blue leaves with lavender flowers, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Fringed bleeding heart, Mount Hood daffodil, and Limelight Prime panicle hydrangea.
