Notes

Japanese linden (Tilia japonica) is a tree for specimen planting and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It reaches 50 to 65 feet tall and 35 to 50 feet wide, so give it plenty of room. Pale yellow flowers open in early summer and are fragrant. The tree also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Cucumber tree, Autumn fern, and Toad lily.
