Notes

'Jeanne d’Arc' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Jeanne d’Arc') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Calot bred it in 1858. The fragrant bomb-type blooms open in early to late spring. They are pale lilac rose with a sulphur yellow center.

Pairs well with Spotted beebalm, Switchgrass, and Stargazer lily.
