Notes

'John Grove' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'John Grove') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double blooms are deep pink with violet shading and frosted white tips. The dense, upright plant has deep green foliage and grows about 33 inches tall. Krekler bred it, and the plant carries the name of a seven year old boy who liked it.

Pairs well with Catnip, Sedge, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
