Notes
'Joseph Green' hardy geranium (Geranium phaeum 'Joseph Green') is a perennial with small double flowers of maroon-purple with green highlights. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade. Blooms appear in spring and summer above maple-like green leaves, and bees visit them. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Flower stems reach up to 30 inches tall.
Pairs well with Snowdrop, Panicle hydrangea, and Tree peony.
