Notes
'Julia, Countess of Dartrey' rose (Rosa 'Julia, Countess of Dartrey') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The tall, bushy plant has well-branched stems and dark green leaves. Fragrant red blend flowers open in late spring, again in summer, and into early autumn, and bees visit them. Dr. J. Campbell Hall bred it, and McGredy introduced it in 1927.
Pairs well with Bobo hydrangea, Fountain grass, Spurge, and Little bluestem.
