Notes

'King' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'King') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep silvery pink double flowers have a light cream band of twisted staminodes about two thirds up the bloom. Flowers sit well above the foliage, so they cut well. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
