Notes
'Kline' fraser fir (Abies fraseri 'Kline') is a slow-growing evergreen tree for use as a specimen. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It grows in a neat cone shape and has a fragrant scent. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Expect a compact size of about 3 to 4 feet tall.
Pairs well with Dawn redwood, Bowl of Cream peony, and September Charm anemone.
