Notes
'Koja' blood currant (Ribes sanguineum 'Koja') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows at a rapid rate and has an arching habit. The fragrant spring blooms attract hummingbirds, bees, and birds.
Pairs well with Smoketree, False indigo, and Little bluestem.
