Notes

Korean barberry (Berberis koreana) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It sits low on the menu for deer. It grows 47 to 71 inches tall and wide with a dense habit. Bees and birds visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.
