'La Joyeuse' tulip (Tulipa 'La Joyeuse') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The greyish lilac flowers open from early to late spring, so they add soft color to the garden for a long stretch. You can cut the blooms and bring them indoors for a vase. V. van der Vinne bred it.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Paprika yarrow, and Ernest Markham clematis.
