Notes

'Lee Youngberg' peony (Paeonia 'Lee Youngberg') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, fragrant, cup-shaped single blooms open in rose-red and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Elmer A. Claar bred it.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Culver’s root, and Blue grama.
