Notes

'Lemon Whisper' peony (Paeonia 'Lemon Whisper') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roy G. Klehm bred it. Its soft yellow, fragrant flowers are single and flat, with ruffled guard petals and red stigmas. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Wide Brim hosta, Culver’s root, Pink Impression tulip, and Blue grama.
