Notes

'Leucothea' peony (Paeonia 'Leucothea') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The ruffled pink flowers are semi-double and fragrant, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The upright stems need no support.

Pairs well with Culver’s root, Wide Brim hosta, and Blue grama.
