Notes
'Liberty' tulip (Tulipa 'Liberty') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The blooms open from early to late spring in brown-red. Inside, each flower shows vivid orange on a lemon yellow ground. P. Vooren bred it, and the plants stand about 20 inches tall.
Pairs well with Bridal Crown daffodil, Fanal astilbe, and Little bluestem.
