Notes

'L’Innocence' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'L’Innocence') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type flowers are medium size and rose pink, and they open in mid season. The plant stays small and compact, so it fits easily in a tidy bed. Shaylor bred it in 1915.

Pairs well with Catnip, Pink Impression tulip, Royal fern, and Virginia rose.
