Lione tulip

Garden uses

Notes

'Lione' tulip (Tulipa 'Lione') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows about 18 inches tall, so it works well near the front or middle of a bed. Red blooms open from early to late spring, which gives you color over a long stretch. Remarkable C.V. bred it.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Shirley Temple peony, and Little bluestem.
