Notes

'Little Giant' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Little Giant') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays 12 to 18 inches tall and bears reddish-purple blooms from early to late summer. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Butterfly milkweed, Nodding onion, and Incrediball hydrangea.
