Notes

'Little Redhead' Indian pink (Spigelia marilandica 'Little Redhead') is a perennial for accents, shade gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet soil. The red tubular flowers have yellow throats and appear from early to late summer. Butterflies and hummingbirds visit them. This clumping plant stays more compact than the species.

Pairs well with Toad lily, Autumn fern, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
