Notes

'Orange Slices' Indian pink (Spigelia marilandica 'Orange Slices') is a perennial for woodland gardens, borders, and hummingbird gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist soil. It blooms with orange flowers from early to late summer, and hummingbirds and bees visit them. Spent blooms drop away on their own, so the plant stays tidy. Flowers are most plentiful in full sun.

Pairs well with Rozanne crane's-bill, Aureola Japanese forest grass, and Ostrich fern.
