Notes

'Little Volcano' bush clover (Lespedeza thunbergii 'Little Volcano') is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It makes an arching mound with rosy-purple flowers in summer and again in autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Gaura, Japanese forest grass, and Bush honeysuckle.
