Notes

'Samidare' bush clover (Lespedeza thunbergii 'Samidare') is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows in an arching form and reaches 48 to 60 inches tall. Pink flowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Jeana garden phlox, and Royal Purple smoketree.
