Notes

'White Fountain' bush clover (Lespedeza thunbergii 'White Fountain') is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching stems carry white blooms in summer and again in autumn, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit them. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. This shrub is drought tolerant, and it needs room to spread.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Jeana garden phlox, and Royal Purple smoketree.
