Notes

'Lonacre' crabapple (Malus asiatica 'Lonacre') is a tree for borders and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It reaches 96 to 120 inches tall and wide, so give it plenty of room to spread. Fragrant white flowers open in late spring. They make the tree a pleasant focal point when the garden wakes up after winter.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Peony, and Ornamental onion.
