Notes

'Honeygold' crabapple (Malus asiatica 'Honeygold') is a tree for use as a specimen. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It reaches 144 to 180 inches tall and wide, so give it plenty of room. Pinkish white flowers open in mid to late spring. The Minnesota Horticultural Research Center bred it in 1935 from Golden Delicious and Haralson.

Pairs well with Royal Star star magnolia, Purrsian Blue nepeta, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Shirley Temple peony.
