Notes
'Dewar' crabapple (Malus asiatica 'Dewar') is a tree for use as a specimen in the garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Fragrant white flowers open in late spring. It grows 96 to 120 inches tall and 96 to 120 inches wide. Give it plenty of room so the crown can spread.
Pairs well with Princeton Sentry maidenhair tree, Karl Rosenfield peony, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Royal fern.
