Notes

'Loughrigg' tree heath (Erica carnea 'Loughrigg') is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, ground cover, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It blooms from early to late winter and again from early to late spring, and bees visit the flowers. The dense evergreen foliage grows slowly.

Pairs well with Mondo grass, Sasanqua camellia, and Society garlic.
