Notes

Love-lies-bleeding (Amaranthus caudatus) is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It reaches 24 to 48 inches tall and has green and burgundy foliage. Its yellow and red blooms last from summer into autumn, and birds visit it. It is also drought tolerant, so it is easy to care for.

Pairs well with Supertunia Bermuda Beach petunia, Garden balsam, and Red fescue.
