'Lucifer' canna (Canna 'Lucifer') is a perennial for borders, containers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with Red-hot poker, Montbretia, Coneflower, and Lemongrass.
