'Tropicanna' canna (Canna 'Tropicanna') is a bulb that grows 4 to 6 feet tall. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Its large, paddle-shaped leaves are burgundy with stripes of red, orange, yellow, and green. Flowers bloom from summer to frost and attract hummingbirds. Plant it in well-drained soil and add a little mulch to help it through cold winters.
Pairs well with Tuberose, Azalea, and Tiger lily.
